Underground rapper Hak Soo has challenged TV audition program for 6 years but never gets into the finalist. On the day that he fails his 7th audition, he receives a call from his hometown that his father is in the hospital. He rushes his hometown Byun San, where he has left since high school only to find it is his father’s plot to bring him to Byun San. He immediately heads back to Seoul, but he is suspected as a phishing scam criminal there, and somehow bound in Byun San, the small, boring suburb.
This was my first time watching Park Jung Min as the main lead (I have watched dramas where he is in a cameo role or something but I don’t remember him.) Heard about his performance in keys to heart, so might try it as well.
Kim Go Eun is a familiar face from Cheese in the trap, Goblin and & Canola.
I liked the movie but not loved it. I heard many good things about this one but wouldn’t say that it was as good as I expected it to be. It wasn’t bad either. I mean, I don’t regret watching this movie. It does give some life lessons and can make you little emotional in the end.
It was an easy watch. It’s not a must watch a movie but a movie you will easily enjoy and like. Start it without expectations and you will like it more.
What I like-
Rap songs- I am not a fan of rap songs but they were done so well here, I was thoroughly reading the subtitles.
Subtle romance- I like how the girl has the crush on the guy first.
Story- There’s was nothing to dislike. It was a good story.
What I Dislike-
My Ratings- 9/10
